Well, I wanted to blog about my obsession with another Steel Magnolias star, but Jackattack reminded me that we should probably talk about some news and sports.
How 'bout them Yankees?
While the Yanks made some massive moves in the off-season, it seems all is forgotten with A-Rod's recent steroids scandal. Personally, I want to know more about his relationship with Madonna than his relationship with needles.
...I'm kidding.
Back to reality, I was happy to see that Rodriguez at least eventually admitted to his mistake. Unlike Clemens and Bonds, I think A-Rod really took the high road. Honestly, I'm not the biggest A-Rod fan but I felt for him when he was near tears on ESPN.
I recently wrote a paper on steroids in baseball and basically concluded that it takes away from the game. I don't want to see tainted numbers in the record books, but the truth of the matter is, everyone's doing it. Going back, it was spitballs, pine tar, and sign stealing. People will do whatever it takes to gain a competitive advantage.
I suppose that is all.

PS. I apologize for what I said about Jackattack's love for Derek Jeter. I did not mean for it to sound like she doesn't know anything about sports. She's in fact rather knowledgeable and I'd actually like to hear what she has to say about the Yankee captain's reaction to A-Rod.
