Wayne Arnold - a name that truthfully portrays the stereotypical older obnoxious brother. Wayne, (the older brother of Kevin Arnold from "The Wonder Years") will remain in viewers' hearts as the jerk from "The Wonder Years."
Who seriously liked Wayne? He was loud. He was rude. He could never keep a girlfriend. He had me convinced 'butthead' was a curse word.
And what has Jason Hervey done since his role as Wayne Arnold ended? Nothing much. His most promising role since then has probably been playing himself in "Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant" (Whaa - whaa - what happened Chachi?)
Yet, I find myself drawn to the scenes with Wayne Arnold. Maybe it's his crater shaped face. Maybe it's his cheap button down shirts. Maybe it's the fact that he started rapping with David from "90210" and married a porn star. Whatever it is, Jason Hervey's Wayne Arnold is a television classic character for me.
So, I will leave you now with my favorite quote from Wayne: "Kevin Arnold, born a butthead. Lived a butthead's life. Died a butthead. The End."
